Plan Make Use Review Using a simple four step methodology we can provide students with a well-defined, task-based curriculum. Plan a build. For example, we can research a restaurant. Discuss the types of food we want to sell, the size, position of tables… Make it! Use it for a role play activity. With teacher-influence, we can add specific goals or roles for these role-plays also. Then review what we did, give a presentation about design considerations, things we found useful, difficult etc.

Lessons I host 4 Japanese lessons each week 2 beginner and 2 upper beginner.
Here is a school. Doesn't look like a school, but it is. Designed and built by myself in Minecraft. I have students from all over the world turn up at 1 of 4 “lesson” times. We log in, meet in the building, and study together. Around the school are related activities to do as we progress from floor to floor.
The buildings exist in a region known simply as “JProad.” Here is an arial view.
Each floor houses a lesson plan. Grammar of course,
/warp guesswho For example “guess who.” A game that requires learners to guess which character their partner has chosen by using yes-no questions about their appearance.
/warp examplehouse Another simple activity: Build and label a house. Invite a friend over and introduce them to all the rooms, and activities you do there. Scavenger hunt — hide some treasure and make a book with directions / hints to its location.
