More and more people want to setup a PTP/PTMP bridge to make a long range transfer for their surveillance or hotspot deployment. Our NC-LINK Outdoor CPE support easy config for your PTP/PTMP bridge requirement.
Like this like above picture show, a pair of CPE do a wireless bridge for transfer data. For every pairs of CPE, there will exist a AP1 for work on AP mode, another AP2 work on repeater mode(bridge mode) For example:
AP1: SSID is “NC-LINK AP-A”, mac address is 78:D3:8D:BF:CF:60 AP2: SSID is “NC-LINK AP-B”, mac address is 04:8D:38:07:F4:40
Step 1: We connect to AP1 then enter 192.168.188.253 to configure AP1 to AP mode.
Step 2: We connect to AP2, then change AP2 management IP to 192.168.188.252 for avoiding interference. Then configure the AP2 at repater mode.
Step 2: Click “ScanAP” button to scan an select AP1’s SSID(NC-LINK AP-A)
Then fill in the AP1’s password, and click Apply changes, it will restart and let AP2 repeater to AP1 automatic.
Notice just fill the password ,and do not modify “channel” or “encryption way” parameter, all these parameters will follow AP1’s config automatic. Now, we have finish the configure for PTP bridge between AP1 with AP2. You can find the AP2’s MAC address in the clients list of AP1 as below picture show:
If you want to setup some of other APs to bridge to AP1 for PTMP networking ,it is same config as setup AP2.
In the end ,our CPE also support WISP mode(or called station mode), this mode will allow you make the CPE’s wireless interface to became a WAN interface, so you can work as a NAT mode from a wireless WAN port
