Deadline: 08 December The History Of Wigs Wigs have been used for years by people, and still today are used. Wigs can be made of diffrently material, like human hair, sheep hair and chicken feathers. In the early Egypt b.c they were very popular. The most of the humans who were living there had the wigs to show which status they had and also to protect their head. Many rich people in Egypt at this time shaved their heads just to have a wig to show everyone how rich they were. They also had wigs in Rome and Greece during this timeline. The women`s wigs were bigger and longer then the men s wigs. They could have ponytails and braids. This spread all over the country later in the timeline. Later the poorer folks started to use wigs also. But they did not have that big or nice sets in their wigs.

But how did the wigs stay on the head for a whole day without falling off? Many of them could set rope around the ears for letting the beard wig stay on place. Because both men and women used bread wig in Egypt. The beard wigs could be in gold and silver. They used to be very ornate with stones, glass, silver and gold to show how rich or powerful the human was who was wearing this wig.
1800 and further today Further in the 1800´s, it started to be popular again after it took off a bit in the early timeline. The king and queen use it more and it become popular again. The king Ludvig XIV was living a fancy life and started to bring the men’s fasihon to the next level. It started to be more curly and longer than before and also more complex than before. The hats was harder to stick on the wigs. So they had to have the hat under their arm or in their hands just to have it with them.
The word was spread al over diffrent countries of the wig and almost everyone who had money to it had one. It was a trend that come out now. It become an importent thing and then ia new job developed as.a wigmaker. In the begining they wanted it to become a law that ful -grown men must have a wig on his head all the time. This was happening in London but it didnt go through. 2
When the French revolution came 1793, big wigs disapered and smaller wigs became more popular, but it was not many who used wigs anymore. The large ornate wigs of the past fell out of fashion.

Today!! Today wigs are a whole new thing. Its not just about wigs now in the 2000’s. It’s more about hairpieces who you can by yourself get into you’re easy. Now it’s almost real hair and just not plastic. It’s so popular with the real hair because you can curl it and staight it out without burning it up. You can also coloring it without problem. Many teenages and older women and some men buy this because it’s good quality - but it’s pretty expensive. Rapunzel is the biggerst company that delevring this kind of hariepices and also wigs in real hair. Teenages today use the hairpieces to fil out so it will looks like they have thicker or longer hair. And there back to the old days. Ours hair is a cosmetical y thing and we use it to be more prittier to find a good man. Without thinking of it we stil thinking of it and it will always be there.
