One Night Stay The Brief This project explores interiors that are inserted and those that are fused together. It illumi- nates the combination between the old and the new. The space is a leisure based interior based around the idea of a traditional hotel, however this is converted into an alternative and contemporary leisure destination.
The Concept The Concept behind ‘One Night Stay’ explores the controversies behind causal sex. There are two major views on this as some people are openly proud about it and some others are shy and embarrassed. This idea is illustrated in the new grid which is highlighted in throughout the buildings design and layout. The floor plans was created in Revit, and the visuals were creted in photoshop.

A-Level Fine Art
In my two years of studying fine art, I learned how to sketch, paint, create collages and make 3D models. On the following page there are a few examples of my work. Fine art also helped to me to be free with my ideas, throughout my second year of fine art I was obsessed with the relationship between philosophy and art and how you can combined the two together. I explored this idea by researching abstract art and realistic art. This presented the idea of what is real and what isn’t. This idea has also helped me as an interior architect as it helps you explore different realms of the world which makes designing much more interesting, especially when conceptualising.
Construction detailing, showcases how things are put together, this is used in the designing work from architects to engineers. It also presents materials information, and detailing concepts used throughout the industry. As designer I have to develop the skills to imagine what lies behind the façade, in order to create bespoke details. In the majority of cases all, or most of the building structure will be hidden by the building fabric & finishes, a point also applicable to building services. In order to create bespoke detailing it is best to look at existing details & ask the typical questions: How was it constructed? What do aspects like joints do functionally? What is the relationship between the functional performance of joints & the way it was?
On the following page, there is an example of my detailing presented on a drawing sheet designed by me. The detail was created on Auto Cad and Photoshop.

This project is based on the conceptual understanding of design methodologies, which will be implemented in my design. I will propose a design for a gallery space located on King Edwards Street, Nottingham, NG1 1EU,for the film industry of Nottingham. My aims for this project is to create a space which fuses the old and the new together, and creating an mind-blowing experience for visitors, who will get an understanding of the film process of film making. History of the site The building is located on King Edward Street on the south eastern of edge of Nottingham’s city centre. My aims for this project is to create a space which fuses the old and the new The building is located for easy access in and out of the city centre as it is located next to Huntington street which gives access to the together, and creating an mind-blowing experience for visitors, who will get an north of the city. My Concept is based around a The building is brick built construction and the internal is approximately 8,8metre. It was originally constructed as a tram deport with clipper-board, which is used in film-making. My concept is illustrated in my design, access availability to Curzon Place and king Edward street. The two storey office area can benefit as a small car park. through the angles made as a clipper-board is open and closed. The layout of the floor plan will represent the step by step process of film making. I want to being the journey from the entrance, so the stairs up to the upper ground floor will be enclosed, portraying the unknown and naive visors who are not certain on the film making process. Then they will travel around the space gaining and understanding and see the light (knowledge) of film making. This idea is based around Plato’s caves analogy.
